What is a Cognitive Stack?
Chronologino Engine & Core Version – Simplified for Real Use
What You Actually Need to Know
A cognitive stack is the order in which a personality type uses its mental tools.
Every human mind has:
- 4 conscious functions (daily operating system)
- 4 shadow functions (stress & hidden behavior)
Chronologino simplifies this using two categories:
- CORE → Internal processing
- ENGINE → External output
CORE vs ENGINE Rule
CORE = Internal World
- Memory
- Values
- Logic
- Vision
ENGINE = External World
- Ideas
- Execution
- Harmony
- Impulse
Every person has both CORE and ENGINE functions — just arranged differently.
The 8 Functions – Chronologino Naming System
Introverted (CORE – Internal)
- Si → Memory Core
- Fi → Value Core
- Ti → Logic Core
- Ni → Vision Core
Extroverted (ENGINE – External)
- Ne → Idea Storm Engine
- Te → Brainstorm Engine
- Fe → Harmony Engine
- Se → Impulse Engine
What “1st to 4th Function” Means
Each personality type uses four main functions:
- 1st Function → Strongest and automatic
- 2nd Function → Support function
- 3rd Function → Immature but accessible
- 4th Function → Weak but important for growth
These four form the conscious personality.
What Are Shadow Functions?
The remaining four functions exist in the background and activate mainly during:
- Stress
- Conflict
- Extreme pressure
- Deep personal growth
These are called the Shadow Stack.
Example – How One Stack Works
Example: ISTJ
- 1st → Si (Memory Core)
- 2nd → Te (Brainstorm Engine)
- 3rd → Fi (Value Core)
- 4th → Ne (Idea Storm Engine)
Shadow under stress:
- Se (Impulse Engine)
- Ti (Logic Core)
- Fe (Harmony Engine)
- Ni (Vision Core)
Why This Matters in Real Life
- Explains why people think differently
- Shows why some people stress in specific ways
- Reveals growth areas
- Explains attraction & conflict patterns
Chronologino does not treat MBTI as destiny or psychology replacement.
This system is for pattern awareness, not diagnosis.
